Requesting Materials & Site Transfers

On busy job sites, material shortages immediately delay casting and masonry schedules. Planmaster's Transfer Request workflow allows site engineers to formally requisition materials from the central warehouse while giving management full chain-of-custody oversight.

How to Request Materials for a Project Site

When a site engineer determines that additional cement, rebar, or tools are needed on site:

  1. Click Inventory in the left sidebar menu.
  2. Find the material you need in the catalog (e.g., TMT Steel 16mm Fe 550D) and click Request transfer on that row.
  3. The transfer request modal will appear:
  4. From: The source location (defaults to Warehouse).
  5. To: The destination — choose Project to send it to a job site.
  6. Quantity: Enter the amount requested (e.g., 15). Planmaster shows you the available warehouse balance in real time (e.g., 35 MT available).
  7. Notes: Optional operational justification (e.g., Footing casting for grid lines A to E).
  8. Click Request transfer.

What Happens Next?

Once the request is submitted: 1. The requisition appears immediately in the storekeeper's Approvals Queue. 2. The storekeeper verifies physical yard stock, inspects the delivery truck, and signs off. 3. Once approved, the material is dispatched to the site, and the project's Inventory tab updates automatically!
